ExMachina 2025
In this synthetic Eden of contemporary world, where every thirst can be artificially quenched, people drift from one another—eventually losing touch with themselves.
ExMachina* offers a glimpse into the hidden emotional architecture behind our daily actions. Generated from psychometric data, each sculpture embodies the residue of a personality—primitive yet evocative. Curves, angles, and textures become a medium for self-reflection.

In "Me and The Other" Blue Static asks ExMachina* for a portrait of its inner self. Organisation and discipline become repetition and structure. Imagination and creativity spiral into variation and irregularity. Extraversion emerges as mass reaching outward. As one form stabilises, The Other unfolds beside it — its inverse. Together, they invite us to look inside and appreciate what makes us unique.
* ExMachina is an AI-powered system designed to conduct psychological tests and translate the results into 3D compositions. The project uses open-source 3D modelling software (Blender) and a suite of custom Python scripts to generate geometry procedurally. The AI logic is trained to arrange data in a way that symbolically reflects key personality dimensions, drawing inspiration from the Big Five model: Openness, Conscientiousness, Extraversion, Agreeableness, and Neuroticism. Each result is a unique abstract form—a visual map of internal tendencies. Final models are printed in biodegradable PLA (polylactic acid) using a desktop FDM 3D printer.
