Mind indulgence: Parts
Atist’s House Vernissage|2021
Voronezh, Russia
At the intimate vernissage of Katherine Cusack’s experimental abstract art, a select group of guests delved into the depths of the subconscious. Known for their portraiture and nudes, Cusack pushed boundaries, rejecting familiar forms and surrendering to abstract expressions and a limited colour scheme. The evening was filled with deep, thought-provoking conversations, exploring the hidden layers of the mind and how our shadow selves leak into the physical world through shapes and colours.

INFRA-ReD
“Blah-Blah Projectraum”gallery|2019
Berlin, Germany
Katherine Cusack’s solo exhibition “INFRA-RED” explored the deep vulnerability of the human experience, revealing the raw emotions beneath our surface. Through neon-lit, red-hued nudes, the artist strips away the façade of humanity, depicting figures as pure clusters of emotion—fear, desire, love, anxiety, ten and despair.
Like infrared vision allowing us to see deeper inside objects, Cusack boldly invited viewers to confront their emotions, inspiring a deeper connection to the unfiltered essence of being human. This series challenged viewers to embrace their true selves, unafraid to be naked in body and spirit and started a conversation about self-identity, sexuality and our mental fragility.
